About this book

This is the research journal of David Chin’s move into embodied AI research, produced automatically from the private repository embodied-ai-research-ideas. Every push to the repository’s main branch rebuilds this book on Cloudflare Pages, so the site is never more than one push behind the working notes.

The repository — not this site — is the source of truth. The book is a reading view onto it, assembled from three folders:

• The journey (notes/) — how to work on research, including how to work with the AI agent that acts as staff scientist in this project.
• The field (landscape/) — surveys of the embodied AI research landscape.
• How this project runs (governance/) — the charter, the decision log, recorded dead ends, current status, and the session log.

Decisions are numbered (D-001, D-002, …) and dead ends are recorded with reasons, so the history of why is preserved alongside the history of what. The intended reader is David himself; the site is meant to be access-controlled, not public.
